SAFE Alert Issued for Missing 73-Year-Old Man Last Seen in Glendale, Arizona
Authorities have issued a SAFE Alert for Albert Young, a 73-year-old man reported missing after being last seen in Glendale, Arizona. According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Young was last observed around 4 a.m. on Saturday near the intersection of 55th Avenue and Camelback Road. Young is described as 5-foot-9, weighing 130 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeve button-up shirt, black Levi jeans, and no shoes. Distinctive features include a short beard and tattoos on his neck that read “Linda” and “Memory of Michael Young.” Authorities have indicated that Young has a medical condition that may cause him to become easily confused, which heightens concerns for his safety. The SAFE Alert system has replaced the previous Silver Alerts in Arizona, specifically designed to disseminate information about missing individuals who are 65 and older, or those with dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
