Texas Railroad Commission Appoints David Lindley as New Oil and Gas Division Director
The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) has announced the appointment of David Lindley as the new director of its Oil and Gas Division. This division is responsible for overseeing Texas' oil and natural gas exploration and production activities, ensuring compliance with commission rules designed to protect public safety, conserve natural resources, and prevent waste. Lindley previously served as the Assistant Director of Field Operations within the same division, bringing nearly three decades of experience in oil and gas production, operations, and engineering. His expertise spans major U.S. oil and gas fields. The RRC highlighted that Lindley will guide the division's strategic direction, strengthen operations, support employees, and advance the agency's mission. The RRC also recently elected Commissioner Christi Craddick as Chairman of the three-member commission, reaffirming her leadership of the state's oldest regulatory agency.
