Evvy Secures $40 Million Series B to Advance Women's Health Research with Vaginal Microbiome Data
Evvy, a women's health company, announced it has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Catalio Capital Management. Launched in 2021 by Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek, and Pita Navarro, Evvy is recognized for its at-home CLIA-certified and CLEP-certified mNGS test, which analyzes vaginal microbes using a single swab. Users send their samples to Evvy's lab for mNGS sequencing, with results reviewed by clinicians on its platform and then posted to the patient's health portal. The company states it has served over 100,000 patients across the United States and collaborates with 3,000 practitioners. Evvy has also contributed to 15 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, identifying novel BV subtypes and hundreds of previously uncatalogued vaginal microbiome genomes.
