W.C. Miller Collegiate Students Award Record $6,000 in Youth Philanthropy Grants to Local Organizations
W.C. Miller Collegiate's Youth in Philanthropy group has distributed a record $6,000 in grants to nine local organizations, marking the largest amount awarded by the school's committee to date. The funds were raised through various student-led initiatives, including a new alumni hockey fundraiser, which significantly boosted their efforts. The grants will support a range of community projects, such as playground improvements, culturally inclusive resources for children, and summer family programming. The initiative not only aids local organizations but also fosters leadership and community involvement among students.
