An Evansville woman, 53-year-old Heather Pratt-Posner, was arrested with a blood alcohol content (BAC) almost four times the legal limit. According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Pratt-Posner was apprehended outside a restaurant located in the 600 block of Boonville-New Harmony Road. Authorities received a call around 4:00 p.m. reporting a possible intoxicated driver who was reportedly crossing yellow lines and running other vehicles off the road. The individual who reported the incident followed Pratt-Posner into the restaurant's parking lot and waited for police to arrive. Although Pratt-Posner initially refused to provide a breath sample at the scene, she later registered a BAC of .301 at the Vanderburgh County Jail, approximately 3.5 hours after her arrest. Officers also discovered two empty vodka bottles, three-quarters of a bottle of vodka, and a wine bottle in her car. She has been charged with driving a vehicle while intoxicated and is being held without bond.

Utilizing nearby camera footage, police were able to identify the car and obtain its license plate number. This information led them to locate the vehicle and subsequently arrest Mason. Mason reportedly told police that he tried to avoid hitting Stripling but was unable to stop in time, and then panicked and fled the scene. He is now facing a second-degree felony charge.
