WHO Seeks Experts for Wastewater and Environmental Surveillance Technical Advisory Group
The World Health Organization (WHO) is actively seeking experts to join its Technical Advisory Group on Wastewater and Environmental Surveillance for Public Health (WES TAG). This initiative aims to gather professionals with diverse expertise, including epidemiology, environmental microbiology, sanitation and wastewater systems, sampling, laboratory methods, data management, modeling, program implementation, economics, and ethics. The WES TAG will provide independent scientific, technical, and operational advice to the WHO on the public health value and implementation of wastewater and environmental surveillance. This rapidly advancing field utilizes samples from sewage and other human-impacted environmental waters to inform public health decision-making.
