Foreign Military Delegations Arrive in Timor-Leste for FALINTIL 51st Anniversary Commemorations
Military delegations from Portugal, Indonesia, and South Korea have arrived in Timor-Leste to participate in the 51st-anniversary commemorations of the Armed Forces for the National Liberation of Timor-Leste (FALINTIL). The events are taking place at Matebian Mountain, Quelicai Administrative Post, Baucau Municipality. The delegations, led by Brigadier General Ketut Mertha Gunarda for Indonesia, Brigadier General Rui Pina for Portugal, and Captain Sangil Lee for South Korea, arrived at Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili. The commemorations, held under the theme 'Honouring the Martyrs, Commitment to Stability and Peace,' aim to recognize the sacrifices of those who contributed to Timor-Leste's struggle for liberation and independence.
