Taylor Farms Recalls Jalapeño Products Amid Salmonella Outbreak Affecting 27 States
Taylor Farms has issued a recall for various food products containing jalapeños linked to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened over 300 people across 27 states. The outbreak is believed to have originated from jalapeños grown in Sinaloa, Mexico, and distributed in the U.S. to restaurants such as Chipotle and Qdoba, which have since removed the ingredient from their menus. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) have issued notices regarding the recall and public health alert, respectively. The affected products, including pre-made guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa, and dips, were sold at major grocery chains like Walmart, Target, and Trader Joe's.
