He attended a ceremony where he received the Special Prize for Political Books for his memoirs, 'Reconciliation,' co-authored with historian Laurence Debray. The event was attended by his daughters, Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina, and his grandson, Felipe Juan Froilán. The memoirs were published in France and later in Spain, detailing his life and reign. During the event, King Juan Carlos expressed his emotions in a speech and interacted with guests at a luncheon.
