Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon Attends Boys Girls Club Event, Emphasizing Youth Development
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon recently attended the 28th Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming in Casper. The event celebrated leaders, both young and old, and highlighted the club's significant impact on youth development. Governor Gordon was joined by Casper Mayor Ray Pacheco, renowned speaker Coach Ken Carter, and Youth of the Year finalists. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming operates 11 sites across the region, including Casper, Mills, and Glenrock, with a budget of $5.3 million. The organization focuses on academic success, character and leadership development, health and well-being, and workforce readiness through various programs such as after-school activities, sports leagues, summer camps, and job shadowing internships. The event also honored Bob and Celia Kirkwood for their long-standing service and commitment to the community.
