Hartford Police Raise Staffing Concerns Following Fatal Weekend Shooting
Hartford police are expressing significant concerns regarding staffing levels and are calling for increased support from city and state officials after a weekend shooting resulted in one fatality and four injuries. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday in the 700 block of Wethersfield Avenue, where 31-year-old Joseph Texidor of Newington was killed, and four others were wounded. Police estimate over 100 people were in the area at the time. Hartford Police Lt.
