Ukraine Allegedly Targets Russian TurkStream Pipeline with Drones
Ukraine has reportedly launched a drone attack on the Russkaya compression station in southern Russia, which services the TurkStream export pipeline. According to Gazprom, the Russian state-controlled natural gas giant, the attack involved three Ukrainian drones, all of which were shot down, leaving the station undamaged. This incident is part of Ukraine's broader campaign against Russian oil export facilities, following successful strikes on major oil terminals in the Baltic Sea. The attack comes amid heightened tensions due to the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran, which has already strained global oil and gas supplies.
