Heat and Coastal Flood Advisories Issued for Bay Area
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued two advisories for the Bay Area and Central Coast regions. A heat advisory is in effect for interior areas through Sunday night, with temperatures expected to range from 90°F to 105°F (32°C to 40°C). Nighttime lows will remain warm, between 60°F and 80°F (16°C to 27°C). Additionally, a coastal flood advisory is active for Bayshore locations along San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay through Thursday at 2 a.m. High tides of up to 1.6 feet are anticipated, potentially causing flooding in lots, parks, and roads. The advisories cover counties from Monterey to Sonoma, excluding Marin County. Cooling centers are available, and residents are encouraged to check local resources for details.
