Gen Z's Growing Skepticism Towards Artificial Intelligence Raises Concerns
A recent Gallup survey reveals that Generation Z, individuals aged 14 to 29, are increasingly skeptical and angry about artificial intelligence (AI). The survey indicates a significant shift in sentiment compared to the previous year, with a notable decrease in excitement and hopefulness about AI's potential benefits. Concerns are primarily centered around AI's impact on cognitive abilities and professional opportunities. The survey highlights that 31% of respondents feel angry about AI, a 9% increase from 2025, while only 22% feel excited, marking a 14% decrease. Additionally, 42% of respondents feel anxious about AI, consistent with last year's findings. The survey also notes disparities in attitudes based on age and race, with older Gen Zers expressing more concern about AI's impact on learning.
