Flood Watch Issued for Houston with Heavy Rainfall Expected
A flood watch has been issued for Houston, Texas, and surrounding areas until 7 p.m. on Friday, as heavy rainfall is expected due to a deep tropical air mass. The National Weather Service has warned of 'training storms,' where storms repeatedly pass over the same area, potentially producing rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour. Rainfall measurements as of now include 0.87 inches at Hobby Airport, 1.64 inches in College Station, 1.83 inches at Montgomery County Airport in Conroe, 1.77 inches at Hooks Memorial Airport, and 0.98 inches at Sugar Land Municipal Airport.
