TotalEnergies Advances Major African Projects, Targets LNG Production Growth
TotalEnergies is advancing several major projects across Africa, focusing on production growth and LNG development. The company has committed $500 million to drill additional wells at the Moho Nord field in the Republic of Congo, aiming for an incremental output of 40,000 barrels per day. In Uganda, the Tilenga project is progressing towards first oil, supported by the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. In Mozambique, TotalEnergies is working to restart its $20-billion LNG project, which is expected to significantly contribute to future output growth. The company is also exploring frontier opportunities in Namibia and South Africa, with plans for further investment decisions.
