Kim Schrier Engages in Roundtable on Social Media's Impact on Youth Mental Health
Congresswoman Kim Schrier recently participated in a roundtable discussion in Seattle, focusing on the impact of social media on youth mental health. The discussion centered on the potential negative effects of social media on young people's mental, physical, and emotional health, and explored policy responses to mitigate these impacts. Schrier highlighted her legislative efforts, such as Sammy’s Law and the Kids Off Social Media Act, which aim to protect children from harmful online content and ensure their data privacy. The roundtable emphasized the shared responsibility of protecting youth from the adverse effects of social media.
