Yale National Initiative to Strengthen Teaching in Public Schools Announces 2026 Curriculum Units
The Yale National Initiative to strengthen teaching in public schools has announced its curriculum units for 2026. These units are the result of seminars led by Yale University faculty members, involving teachers from eighteen public school districts across twelve states, the Bureau of Indian Education, and the District of Columbia. The initiative aims to enhance teaching and learning in high-poverty, high-minority public schools by providing teachers with deeper subject knowledge and professional development. Fifty-one teachers, designated as Yale National Fellows, participated from districts planning or exploring new Teachers Institutes in locations such as Anchorage, AK; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; and the Navajo Nation, AZ and UT.
