Ukrainian Forces Achieve Significant Gains in Counteroffensive Against Russia
Ukrainian forces have made substantial progress in their counteroffensive operations, achieving their most significant gains since the Kursk operation in 2024. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian troops have regained control of key territories, including areas near Kupiansk and parts of the Zaporizhzhia region. The counterattacks have forced Russian forces to make strategic decisions about troop deployments, impacting their offensive capabilities. Ukrainian forces have also intensified their medium-range strike campaigns, targeting Russian logistics and manpower, which has further weakened Russia's ability to conduct operations along the front line.
