Kennesaw State Alumna Leah Hackaday Awarded MEXT Scholarship for Graduate Study in Japan
Leah Hackaday, an alumna of Kennesaw State University's School of Government and International Affairs, has been awarded the prestigious MEXT Scholarship by the Japanese government. This scholarship will enable her to pursue a master's degree in international affairs at Waseda University in Tokyo. Hackaday's interest in Japan was sparked during a high school trip and further developed through her undergraduate studies, where she minored in Japanese and participated in a six-month study abroad program at Toyo University. The MEXT Scholarship is highly competitive, covering full tuition, airfare, and providing a monthly living stipend for international students.
