Heavy Snow Warning Across Western U.S. and Alaska
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued warnings for heavy snow across five states, including Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and California. In Alaska, the Upper Tanana Valley is expected to receive up to 12 inches of snow with winds reaching 35 mph. The eastern parts of the Alaska Range could see up to 18 inches of snow by Tuesday afternoon. Oregon's eastern slopes of the Cascades may experience up to 15 inches of snow and 45 mph winds from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday night. Washington's Cascades could receive up to 20 inches of snow with winds up to 35 mph. Utah's central and southern mountains might see up to 12 inches of snow, while California's mountain regions could get up to 6 inches of wet snow by Monday morning.
