Record-Breaking Heat Expected in NYC Area Early This Week
The Tri-State Area, including New York City, is experiencing unseasonably hot weather for the first half of the week. According to CBS News New York Meteorologist Tony Sadiku, temperatures are forecasted to reach the 90s°F (32-37°C) on Tuesday, potentially setting new records for this time of year. This summer-like heat is unusual for mid-May and is expected to impact the entire region, including New York City, Long Island, and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut. The heat wave is attributed to a high-pressure system dominating the area, leading to clear skies and elevated temperatures.
