Mississippi Teen Jimmy Chilimigras Graduates as Youngest Law Degree Holder in Louisiana
James 'Jimmy' Chilimigras, an 18-year-old from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, has become the youngest person to earn a law degree in Louisiana. Graduating summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Chilimigras has added a Juris Doctor (JD) to his academic achievements, which already include a bachelor's and a master's degree in accounting. Chilimigras, who was homeschooled and completed high school at 12, became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at 15, believed to be the youngest globally. His academic journey at Loyola was marked by his distinction as a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar, a title given to the top 10% of the graduating class. He also earned five certificates in various legal concentration areas, a feat unmatched at Loyola.
