Officials at Fort Leonard Wood in Pulaski County, Missouri, have issued a public warning regarding the proliferation of fake Facebook pages and groups falsely claiming to represent training courses at the military installation. According to a Facebook post from Fort Leonard Wood, there are no official social media pages or groups for Basic Combat Training, One Station Unit Training, Advanced Individual Training units, or other courses. The warning also clarifies that Army schools and training units at Fort Leonard Wood do not livestream graduations. Furthermore, no U.S. military organization will request credit card information for online services, such as graduation livestreams. This advisory aims to protect individuals from potential online and social media scams.
