Jeanne Ann Sattler's Legacy of Faith and Education Celebrated in Mt Prospect
Jeanne Ann Sattler, a respected educator and advocate for social justice, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in 1935, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her deep faith and commitment to education. Sattler retired from St. Viator High School in 1997, where she also served on the Board of Directors. Her career included teaching positions at Immaculate Conception, Sacred Heart, and Queen of Peace. She was recognized with numerous honors, including Teacher of the Year at Sacred Heart in 1974. Sattler was deeply involved in faith-based organizations and was passionate about promoting racial equity and social justice. Her life was celebrated with a visitation and funeral mass at St. Raymond de Penafort in Mt Prospect.
