Horizon Organic Initiates Recall of Chocolate Milk Boxes Due to Packaging Issue
Horizon Organic Dairy, LLC has initiated a recall of its 6-packs of 8 fl. oz Shelf Stable 1% Lowfat DHA Omega-3 Chocolate Milk Boxes due to a packaging seal issue. This recall, classified as Class II by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), affects over 63,000 cartons distributed across Arizona, California, Nevada, and Oregon. The packaging defect could cause the milk boxes to swell, leak, or spoil, potentially leading to temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. Horizon has implemented corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of this issue. Consumers are advised to discard the affected products, retain proof of purchase, and contact Horizon for a possible refund.
