Brazil Leads Global Coffee Production, Outpacing Vietnam and Colombia
Brazil remains the world's largest coffee producer, accounting for 35% of global production in the 2025/2026 marketing year. The country produced 63 million 60-kilogram bags of green coffee beans, surpassing the combined output of Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia. Vietnam ranks second with 18% of global production, driven by robusta coffee. The top 25 coffee-producing countries contribute 99% of global output, with production concentrated in the 'coffee belt' between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. This concentration highlights the importance of these regions in the global coffee supply chain.
