Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Visits Library of Congress Following Book Cataloguing
H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of Al Faisal Global for Culture and Knowledge, visited the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., after his book, 'Qatar Through My Eyes,' was catalogued into its collections. During his visit, Sheikh Faisal explored historical collections related to Qatar and the broader region. He also learned about the Library's processes for preserving, cataloguing, and digitizing books. A team of Middle East and Africa specialists welcomed him, providing an overview of the African and Middle Eastern Division, including the Near East Section. Sheikh Faisal presented the Library with a signed copy of his book and several other publications, emphasizing his dedication to documenting Qatar's history and preserving its cultural heritage. He viewed various publications, including 'Jassim the Leader: Founder of Qatar' by Mohamed Al Thani and 'The Coasts of Qatar,' as well as historical poems and architectural plans for the former Qatar National Museum.
