International Labour Organization Launches Digital Tool to Address Gender Pay Gaps in Moldova
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has introduced a new digital tool designed to assist employers in the Republic of Moldova in identifying and addressing gender pay gaps. This automated Excel-based system evaluates and compares jobs within an organization using objective criteria such as skills and qualifications, responsibilities, effort, and working conditions. The tool aims to pinpoint potentially unjustified pay differences by assessing jobs independently of individual employee characteristics, thereby allowing companies to analyze their remuneration structures using gender-neutral metrics. Ten Moldovan companies from various sectors and sizes have already piloted the tool, providing feedback on its usability.
