Canarelli Family Commits $50 Million to Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital
Larry and Heidi Canarelli have pledged a $50 million commitment to Intermountain Health's Nevada Children's Hospital. This significant donation will support the construction of a new inpatient tower, which will be named the Larry & Heidi Canarelli Inpatient Tower. The tower, scheduled to open in 2030, is designed to be a comprehensive healing environment, integrating advanced technology, specialized pediatric expertise, and compassionate care for children and families. It will feature 180 inpatient beds, with the capacity to expand to 228. The planned services include a trauma center, an emergency department, Nevada's highest-level neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care, a cancer center, behavioral health services, a child abuse treatment center, and various advanced medical and surgical specialties. This commitment is a crucial step towards realizing Nevada's first comprehensive, stand-alone children's hospital, expanding access to specialized pediatric care across the state.
