Prolonged Power Crisis in Araihazar Disrupts Agriculture, Industry, and Daily Life
Araihazar upazila is experiencing a severe electricity crisis, with power outages lasting up to 17-18 hours in some areas. This has significantly impacted agriculture, as farmers struggle to irrigate crops, raising concerns over potential crop failures. The industrial sector is also affected, with frequent power interruptions halting production and increasing financial losses. The general population, including women, children, and the elderly, is enduring extreme discomfort due to the heat and lack of electricity. The Rural Electrification Board attributes the crisis to a supply shortage and is working to stabilize the situation.
