Grand Canyon University Receives $1 Million Grant to Establish Theological Interdisciplinary Center
Grand Canyon University (GCU) has received a $1 million grant from Dr. William and Penne McKee to establish the Theological Interdisciplinary Center (ThInC) within its College of Theology. This new center is designed to advance GCU's 'One Foundation' initiative, which integrates Christian faith, a Christ-focused curriculum, and faith-based service into the university's academic and community life. ThInC will be led by Dr. David Joynt, a long-time Phoenix-area pastor, who has been appointed as its executive director. The center aims to embed theology into both pedagogy and the university's overall architecture, ensuring the perpetuation of the One Foundation across generations.
