Mama Cat and Seven Kittens Rescued from Under Fallen Tree in Indianapolis
A mama cat and her seven kittens were successfully rescued from beneath a fallen tree at a senior living facility on the south side of Indianapolis. The rescue operation was initiated after a call for help, and a rescuer from the Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership (ARPO), a foster-based rescue in Indianapolis, responded promptly. Within 15 minutes of the call, a team arrived with essential supplies, including old towels for warmth, Churu treats to coax the cats, and carriers. The entire family, now named the 'Golden Years Gang' in a nod to their rescue location, was safely gathered and transported to foster care. The kittens, estimated to be between two and a half to three weeks old, are now safe and warm, beginning to explore their new environment. The mother cat, named Millie, is reportedly flourishing and regaining her strength after living outdoors.
