U.S. Company Havoc Partners with Taiwan's CSBC for Autonomous Surface Vessel Co-Production
U.S. unmanned systems company Havoc has announced a partnership with Taiwan's state-linked shipbuilder CSBC Corporation for the co-production of autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USVs). The joint announcement, made on September 10, indicates that the collaboration will combine CSBC's manufacturing and lifecycle support capabilities with Havoc's autonomy technologies. The primary goal is to support the production and sustainment of autonomous USVs in Taiwan. While the specific types of USVs to be produced were not detailed, the partnership will involve integrating Havoc's software onto platforms built by CSBC in Taiwan.
