Arkansas Game Fish Commission Celebrates Millionth Visitor at Nature Center with Special Surprise
The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas, recently celebrated a significant milestone by welcoming its millionth visitor. This achievement comes nearly 20 years after the center opened its doors in 2006. On May 22, Julie Kleinschmidt from Greenwood, along with her grandsons, marked this occasion by visiting the center. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) nature center director, Karen Westcamp-Johnson, expressed excitement over reaching this milestone, which was anticipated following the millionth visitor announcement by the Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center last year. To commemorate the event, the visitors were presented with a basket of AGFC and outdoor-themed items, including cups, coolers, and a spinning rod-and-reel combo. Additionally, they will enjoy a special outdoor experience organized by the center's staff.
