Israeli Nonprofit Leader Shares Wartime Experiences with NYC Funders
Leah Hershkovitz, manager of the Israel Tennis and Education Centers' Arad branch, shared her wartime experiences with funders in New York City. During a lull in Iranian attacks, Hershkovitz recounted the impact of a missile strike on her community, which destroyed her family's home and injured 71 people. Despite the challenges, the tennis center continues to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds, many of whom lack access to private bomb shelters. The event highlighted the resilience of Israeli civil society and the ongoing need for support from international donors.
