Myanmar Junta Leader's Diplomatic Push for ASEAN Normalization
Myanmar's junta leader Min Aung Hlaing visited Bangkok as part of a diplomatic effort to normalize relations with ASEAN. The visit follows previous trips to India, China, and Laos, and aims to address issues such as transnational crime and environmental pollution. Myanmar seeks to regain full participation in ASEAN, which has excluded its leaders since the 2021 coup.
