Five Eyes Warns of Chinese Espionage via LinkedIn Targeting U.S. Officials

The advisory highlights that Chinese operatives are using the platform to target government officials, military personnel, and academics by posing as recruiters or consultants. These operatives offer job opportunities or consultancy work to gain access to sensitive national security information. The advisory warns that initial contacts may appear legitimate but can lead to requests for sensitive information. The statement emphasizes the use of front companies to disguise these espionage efforts.
