Augusta Organizations Launch Book Donation Drive for Local Students
Several organizations in Augusta, including the United Way of the CSRA, The Hub for Community Innovations, RISE Augusta, and the Dr. Paulette P. Harris Literacy Center, have initiated a book donation drive called Book Bash 2026. The initiative aims to provide local students with access to high-quality reading materials during the summer. The goal is to distribute 1,500 book bags, each containing five to six books, to children ranging from infants to high school seniors. Donations of new and lightly used books are being accepted until May 22, with drop-offs available at the United Way office in Augusta.
