Honda Expands Motorcycle Recall to 44,000 Units Due to Handlebar Bolt Issue
Honda has expanded a recall initially issued five months ago, now affecting 43,913 motorcycles, including the Rebel 300, Rebel 500, and SCL500 models manufactured between 2017 and 2026. This recall, filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under campaign number 26V500000, more than doubles the original recall of 19,406 units. The issue involves a lock screw that may not have been properly tightened during assembly, potentially leading to steering problems. This defect is particularly concerning for new riders, as these models are often marketed as beginner-friendly motorcycles.
