Nevada Expands Secure Wi-Fi Access to Enhance Digital Equity
The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) has partnered with Washoe County to expand eduroam, a secure Wi-Fi service, to 80 public locations across the county. This initiative aims to provide students, educators, and researchers with secure internet access using their existing institutional credentials. The expansion increases Nevada's total eduroam hot spot locations to 350 statewide. Supported by NSHE's System Computing Services, the service is available at no cost to eligible public partners, leveraging state funding to enhance digital connectivity.
