Archaeologists Discover Well-Preserved 'Giant's Tomb' in Sardinia
A team of archaeologists has uncovered a well-preserved megalithic tomb at the Carrarzu Iddia site in Sardinia, Italy. This tomb, part of the Bronze Age Giants' Tombs, was built by the Nuragic civilization around 1800 B.C. The site includes large stone platforms, a residential settlement, a sacred well, and an extensive burial ground. The tomb's unique two-level interior and its state of preservation offer a rare glimpse into the construction methods and funerary practices of the Nuragic people. The discovery was made possible after the site, previously obscured by vegetation, was surveyed by Italian authorities.
