Ideal Weather Expected for Masters Tournament in Augusta
The 90th Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club is set to enjoy ideal weather conditions, contrasting sharply with previous years' turbulent weather. An unusually strong ridge of high pressure is dominating the area, ensuring dry air and no precipitation throughout the tournament's four rounds. Dew point levels are forecasted to drop below 50°F (10°C), providing comfortable conditions for the approximately 200,000 attendees. Winds may gust up to 30 mph on Wednesday, but overall, temperatures will range from 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C) during the week, with weekend highs reaching 84°F to 88°F (29°C to 31°C). This dry spell is rare for the Georgia-South Carolina border, where less than 20% of tournaments have reported no rainfall.
