Lombardo claimed that without his connection to Trump, ICE would be more active in the area. This statement was made during a closed-door event for veterans. The governor emphasized the importance of maintaining a good relationship with federal authorities to prevent escalations. Despite Lombardo's assertions, ICE arrests have reportedly increased nationwide, with community groups in Nevada noting a rise in detentions.
