Howard Lyon Gordon, Korean War Veteran and Advertising Executive, Passes Away at 95
Howard Lyon Gordon, a respected advertising executive and Korean War veteran, has passed away at the age of 95. Gordon, who was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, had a distinguished career in advertising and marketing. He served as the editor of the Fort Bliss news during his military service and later pursued a successful career in advertising, earning a master's degree in advertising from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. Gordon also contributed to academia as a professor at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. A graveside service is scheduled for May 28, 2026, at Westlawn Cemetery in Norridge, Illinois, followed by a Shiva.
