ILO Seeks Collaborator to Update Global Employment Dataset for Enhanced Labor Analysis
The International Labour Office (ILO) is seeking an external collaborator to update the GTAP-ILO employment dataset. This project involves harmonizing labor statistics from ILOSTAT with the 65 GTAP sectors across all countries and regions covered by the GTAP 12 database. The update will include disaggregation by skills, sex, age, and employment formality, using both headcount and full-time equivalent measures. The consultant will develop methodologies for handling missing data and validate estimates against secondary data sources. Additionally, the project includes optimizing existing R scripts for data processing and creating a data visualization tool to support quality assurance.
