Pensacola Fall Forecast 2026: Summer-like Heat and Severe Weather Risks
Pensacola and much of Florida are expected to experience summer-like conditions well into the fall season, with temperatures forecasted to be approximately 2°F (1.1°C) above historical averages through November. AccuWeather forecasters attribute this to exceptionally warm Gulf waters and an intense El Niño, which is shifting the subtropical jet stream southward. This pattern is expected to bring increased rainfall and heightened risks of severe storms. While El Niño may suppress tropical cyclone activity in the Atlantic basin, the Gulf Coast remains vulnerable to impacts from named storms, with hurricane season peaking in September.
