Study Reveals Kindness More Prevalent in America Than Perceived
A recent Gallup Poll has revealed that kindness is more prevalent in the United States than commonly perceived. The survey, which included over 2,000 American adults, found that a majority of respondents reported witnessing or receiving acts of kindness regularly. Despite media portrayals of incivility, 60% of participants observed kind behavior often, and 65% experienced kindness within their communities in the past week. The poll also highlighted a 'kindness perception gap,' where people underestimate the frequency of kind acts around them. Younger adults, however, reported witnessing less kindness compared to older generations, possibly due to their exposure to negative social media narratives.
