The final two phases involve joint development of advanced weapon systems with the United Kingdom, expected by the mid-2030s. This military buildup comes as Germany considers diplomatic action against Moscow due to increasing hybrid security threats, including a recent incident involving an explosive-laden drone near a Ukrainian cargo aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport.
