Bologna Children's Book Fair Expands Offerings Amid Economic Challenges
The Bologna Children's Book Fair, a significant event in the global children's publishing industry, is set to take place from April 13 to 16 in Bologna, Italy. This year, the fair is expanding its offerings in response to economic challenges faced by the book industry. The event will feature over 500 activities, including exhibitions, meetings, and workshops, both on-site and throughout the city. Notably, the fair will introduce Play Trade, a new space for board game producers to connect with illustrators and publishers. Norway is the Guest of Honor, presenting an exhibition of contemporary Norwegian illustrators. The fair will also showcase a selection of award-winning illustrations from the Society of Illustrators of New York. The event aims to foster rights exchanges and collaborations within the industry, with participation from over 1,500 professionals and exhibitors from 90 countries.
